The object which I mentioned to is a child window which has many text boxes.
Can you post some minimal code illustrating the issue? It will be easier to make suggestions if I can see exactly what it is you want to achieve by means of an example.

Ultimately, I would be looking to solve such issues by providing a final output with using().
Of course LBB supports an enhanced USING(), compared with LB 4; you can find details at the wiki here.

Re: Preventing Windows temporary from response to ...

Well the best is by my own program. If it is not posible i have to chose the other option. OK. You say in your original question " until the moment has come (change focus for example) " so if you are happy for keyboard and mouse input to be reactivated by a focus change, isn't it sufficient to crea...

Re: c++ and python stuf

I have in freebasic the folowing color's setting's in my ide It's theoretically possible, but unfortunately the Syntax Coloring in LBB is done using assembly language code (because it's in a subclass routine) and it's not easy (or risk-free) to modify assembly language! I would be happy to publish ...

need to call some API functions or else to preventing Windows from it's normal response to Mouse click and Keypress of the keyboard until the moment has come (change focus for example) then turn it on back again. Just to be clear, do you mean that you want the mouse and keyboard to be globally igno...

Re: Difference in WAIT when in a function

I hope Richard could tell ;) Without studying it, my guess is that the behavior arises because of the different 'scoping' rules of LB 4 and LBB, that is, from where in the program a particular branch label is visible. In LB 4 the 'isolation' provided by a function/sub works in both directions: that...

Re: Formatting Numeric Input

Whether that means that it will remain as a read-only facility, I don't know. I think everybody is assuming that, come Monday, the old forums will have disappeared. The fact that Conforums have been offering 'dumps' of their database to forum owners is highly suggestive of that, so I assume that th...

Re: Formatting Numeric Input

(link probably disappear after April 15) I'm out of touch with what the JB and LB folks are intending to do with the old forums. What's the plan for the Just BASIC forum? Is it going to be made available for browsing and searching, in a similar way to the old LBB and BBC BASIC forums? I am aware of...

Interesting but I see number of views.
Yes, but it's not visible if you navigate directly to the thread from the front page, which I presume is what Ray was meaning. If you specifically want to see the count you can, but it's an extra click.

Re: Can number of views be shown?

I note with many forums they show the number of views on a topic. Indeed, but they are almost invariably meaningless! They can be incremented by visits from bots (e.g. search engines) and for various other reasons probably indicate a wildly optimistic value. I'd say this forum is better without the...
