To decrypt this you will need to download version 3b, using the link in my original post. The key is the most users ever on-line.

Something is wrong with last version.
Then I try to decrypt, letters "v" appears in wrong places - and even between letters.
And substituted letters appear not at all places but only from start.

Sorry. I don't understand how I could have messed up the code so badly. And I really thought I had tested it thoroughly! I'd be a much better programmer if I was smarter instead of senile. But version 3 was a major rewrite, and now the code is cleaner and simpler. But not completely simple.
let me know if the window is too big for your monitor screen.

Please try again to download version 3c now. And here's another message that shouldn't be so hard for your son. The key is the number of states in the USA, to further your geography a bit more.

Version 3d is available now to download in its zip file. It's bigger and better than ever, with a new surprise feature...

Looks like it needs a line

Code: Select all

CryptMessage$=CryptMessageContents$
after line 189

Code: Select all

#1.ClipboardIn "!Line 1 ClipboardContents$"

Apologies, again, for my sloppy testing. Thanks for bearing with me. A, hopefully, corrected version is on my Dropbox cloud.
